I'm not Martha Stewart. (I could be her daughter, however, had my grandparents named my mom Martha, but that's beside the point.) And I sure wasn't raised with the mindset that a woman's place is in the kitchen, cooking, cleaning, whatever.
Anyways. It really bothers me when a roomate tells me ,"Hey, I know some of the dishes in the sink are mine, but do you think you could wash yours?" I brush it off with a "Yeah, sure I was heading there anyways." *eyeroll*
I don't really like doing dishes. I did enough of them this summer for 300+ kids at camp. So I really limit my dish use. And if I do use it, I will rinse it off in the sink and put it in the diswasher. And being the good, obedient little roomate I am, I went to the sink to load the diswasher, that was already full of dirty dishes, someone just didn't start them. And it turns out most of the dishes in the sink were from the roomate who told me to wash them's company from the night before. I had a whole two bowls and a plate, in the sink.
I don't need people to tell me to do dishes that aren't mine.
And until my roomates stop this war with the heater (Put some pants on.) that I'm paying for out of Germany funds, I will do the dishes when I damn well please.

Artzies.
Just a bit of what I've been working on lately slash need to get back to work on.
Psychadelic Gypsy Vanner supposed to be. Didn't get too far with that one.
A girl. *shrugs*
Wave stepper? I dunno. This is what began when I was freaking about Reid coming to see me. Will probably end up making it a part of this new series I'm scheming. =)
There she is again. =)

Sketchums.

Someday, my Prince will come. May or may not be put on canvas.

SunDance. Inspired from the name of the apartments I'm wanting to live in at MSU. Haha. This would be the idea that sparked the list on the post below this. =)

My current tattoo idea. Don't think I'd get it inked on me. I'm not just absolutely in love with it. But it's a cool tiger. =)

Couple of paintings. Just started splashing paint around on these, well. smearing rather. This is what I ended up with.

My bulletin/photo-board. It's pretty awesome. =D And totally Erika-made.
Updates may come as I get them. =)

LAME.
I feel kinda lame for hiding out in my room to avoid conversation with one of my roomates. She's nice, yeah, but I can't help but getting the feeling that she's got some negative energy going on. Or maybe it's the snide comments about Hera that make me not want to be around her. Kinda has this whole nosey-old-lady-at-church-who's-in-everybody's-business vibe. Tolerable, but, not my favorite thing to be around first thing in the morning.
Ok. End rant.
Started up on another painting. Well. started back up. I hadn't touched it since Reid came down to see me. (Ugh.) It's coming along well. I think. Just the thing about oils is you have to wait for them to dry which takes a while.
Work today from 11-9. And I totally just made my day really happy cause I realized. ITS PAYDAY! =D But it's also one of those days where nothing sounds good to eat. I'm gonna have to go get some fruit tonight or something. lol.

Ideas
Mostly just for me to come back to, jotting them down so i don't forget.
New series of paintings involving horses to decorate the walls of the massage house.
Sun Dance
Storm
Moonlight
Rain Song
More names will come when I think of them.
Explore SOU more. Ashland could be fun. C=
ONE MORE MONTH UNTL CHRISTMAS BREAK!!!
Which means a lot more time for painting. =D
And working. For Germany! (For some reason that totally just reminded me of the part of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe when Peter's all " For NARNIA!!!!" Lawl.)
Oh! And I think I slept walked last night. Cause. I know for a fact I went to sleep with my shirt on and my hair down. And I woke up with no shirt on, and my hair tied back in an obnoxious little bun. LoL. Mad skills right there to do your hair in your sleep. =)
School. Later. =)

Procrastination = Love
Yep. Putting of my Chapter summary thats due in two hours. That's what's up.
Probably not worthy of a blog post. But. That's kinda all that's going on. Came back to Tulia for the night. So I can leave early in the morning to take her to the airport. Don't ask me why we didn't stay at my house. She's a crazy lady. The old age is getting to her. ;D
It's two minutes after ten. I really should start this paper. lol

The Photo-Board
I finally finished my tiger-print photo board. It looks pretty awesome, and contributes to absorbing the echo that my room still has. I've got the two tiger cards Mom picked up for me at the airport on there, along with a few volleyball photos, band and theatre.
It's amazing how an image can take you back. The memories flood in, the intensity, the heat of the gym without air conditioning, everyone you never thought would stand behind you coming out to cheer you on to victory. Knowing you're out giving it your all. It's your last stand. The last message you can give to your rival, their town, and your supporters to let you know what you were about.
The memory is so vivid. Every spike, block, dig and serve. The effort and coming together as a team in one moment of glory. And knowing I led the team to a victory. When I knew where I was going.
---
Volleyball had been my support my junior and senior year. It was a constant throughout my highschool career, something I always had. It was more reliable than any boy, and almost all of my friends during that time. (People change. =/)
But.
It was the time I was on the court that I was the happiest. I loved being able to work so hard for something, and see the results on the scoreboard. It was amazing. I had a team who had my back, and with them nothing could bring me down.
---
I miss it. I miss having a common goal with 5 other girls on the court. I miss feeling amazing after a good spike or block or an ace on the serve. I feel like a lot of people had high expectations of me going to play somewhere, and that to an extent I let them down. Or that i chickened out, or something. I don't know.
There's no doubt in my mind that I'm supposed to be where I'm at right now doing what I'm doing. I'm just hoping there's still a spot for me on a volleyball court once I'm through with Lubbock.
---
I still love the photo of Golden Spread where I'm spiking. It's an awesome shot. And I've got one from club ball my freshman year, and then one where I'm blocking Savanna Keys, and it's great. =) Still need to get some new photos developed. Life is going by fast.
